As a BACP-registered counsellor and psychotherapist, I am the data controller for my website and business, and I handle all personal information in line with UK GDPR. I’m also registered with the ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office), as required for data protection compliance.
When you contact me via this website, I’ll collect your name, contact details, and any other information you choose to share. If we begin working together, I’ll also hold confidential session notes and relevant personal details to support our therapeutic work. Client records are kept for a minimum of seven years after therapy ends, in line with professional and legal guidance.
All personal data is stored securely - whether digitally or on paper - and is only accessible to me. I use encrypted devices and secure platforms to protect your information, and I will never use your data for marketing purposes.
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. You can also object to or restrict certain types of processing.

Making a Data Processing Complaint

If you make a complaint relating to the processing of your personal data, I will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 30 days, investigate the matter, and respond with the outcome without undue delay.
If you are not satisfied with my response, or if I do not respond within the required timeframe, you may have the right to raise your concerns with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO).
