Why I support women with IVF

I specialise in IVF support because I’ve been through it.

And I know how difficult and painful this journey can be.

Saff Mitten, The IVF Therapist.

Support grounded in understanding

I understand the IVF journey, both professionally and personally.

And importantly, I know how it feels to live it.

I know IVF is far more than a medical process.

It’s a deeply personal and challenging experience.

One that can bring hope, grief, uncertainty, and a lack of control.

It affects every part of your life, and can change you in ways you never imagined.

It can also feel incredibly lonely and isolating because people in your life can’t really understand unless they have been through it themselves.

I know. I have been there.

I have had IVF with my own eggs.

And I have had donor egg treatment.

I have experienced the joy of IVF pregnancy.

And the heartbreak of multiple miscarriages.

I know what it is like to invest yourself in the process, and to let yourself hope…

Hoping and failing.
Hoping and failing.

And I know how exhausting, painful and overwhelming that can become.

It can start to take over everything…

Your thoughts, your plans, how you feel about yourself, and how you see the future.

This might be one of the most difficult things you ever go through - I know it was for me.

That is why I am committed to supporting women who are navigating IVF and an infertility journey. ‍ ‍‍ ‍

I don’t think anyone is ever prepared for just how hard it is to go through IVF.

What makes it harder is that you don’t often have support from people who understand.

Over time IVF can impact so much of your life you may start to feel there is little else left.
